Jessica Moran has joined the Institute of Health & Wellbeing as a Research Assistant working on the 'Sit Less, Move More' (SLMM) study with Professor Cindy Gray and Dr Victoria Palmer. She will be involved in data collection and analysis on the feasibility trial of SLMM, a ten-week intervention designed to support increased movement and reduced sedentary time for older people in the community. Jessica is also a PhD student at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, co-funded by Early Years Scotland and the MRC. Jessica’s PhD is a process evaluation of a prison-based parenting programme for fathers in Scottish prisons. The project aims to understand how parenting programmes can support imprisoned parents and contribute to improved outcomes for children affected by parental imprisonment.
