This April, I'm embarking on a solo, unsupported cycling adventure from Land's End to John O'Groats. But this journey is more than a personal challenge; it's a mission to give the most vulnerable children a fighting chance at life. By sponsoring my ride, you'll be directly supporting Compassion UK's Child Survival Scheme, a lifeline for babies born into the clutches of poverty.  DONATE JUST GIVING

Why It Matters
The first 1,000 days of a child's life are pivotal. For babies in poverty, this period determines their survival and ability to thrive. Compassion UK's Child Survival interventions are on the front lines, ensuring mothers have access to crucial pre-natal and post-natal care. From regular check-ups and vaccinations to the assurance of professional medical support during childbirth, these services are vital.
But the support doesn't stop at birth. The scheme ensures that young lives are nurtured beyond their first cry, providing vaccinations, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and regular growth checks to celebrate each milestone of their journey.

The Stark Reality
Every day, 810 women lose their lives to pregnancy or childbirth complications.
Education makes a difference: Children whose mothers have at least a high school education see a 31% lower risk of dying before their fifth birthday.
Progress is possible: Since 1990, we've witnessed a 59% drop in the global under-5 mortality rate.

How You Can Help
Your sponsorship will:
Provide essential pre-and post-natal care to vulnerable mothers.
Ensure that babies born into poverty receive life-saving medical support, including immunisations.
Empower mothers facing extreme poverty with skills to generate income, breaking the cycle of poverty for their families.

Every Mile, A Miracle
With every mile I cycle, we can draw closer to a world where every child gets to see their first birthday and beyond. Your support can turn this vision into a reality. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of children and mothers in the most desperate need.

Please, will you join me in this cause? Your generous donation, no matter the size, will contribute to a world of hope and survival for those who need it most. DONATE JUST GIVING QR code for just giving page
