The Healthy Working Lives Group exhibition within the ground floor or Clarice Pears is a celebration of our research past, present and future.  Our group was developed in the 1990's by Professor Ewan Macdonald OBE, a well known specialist in Occupational Health, global speaker and advocate, skilled physician and lecturer, and perennially cheerful wanderer around the kitchens of our new building.  When HWLG was formed Ewan had already had a significantly impactful career in Occupational Health having undertaken key roles in the coal mining industry, computing and software sector, and public health.  HWLG was formed to allow Ewan to continue his desire to improve the health of the workforce and through a litany of publications, projects, and programmes has subsequently informed policy, delivered training to thousands of professionals, and published research in numerous journals and magazines globally.

This exhibition pays homage to some of these projects by inviting viewers to engage with past and current research through a blend of research ephemera, high quality 3d printed representations of the research, and digital resources designed to explain and invite contribution to our projects and publications.  The current members of HWLG hope you enjoy our exhibition, learn something about work.
