Professor Muhammad Imran elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

Heartfelt congratulations came from around the globe when it was announced that Professor Muhammad Imran has been appointed Fellow of The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), Scotland’s National Academy. Immense pride was expressed in his many great achievements and the high standards he sets as a leader, inspiring all of those who work with him.

The RSE is a national Royal Society and an independent charity which recognises, supports and mobilises expertise from across academia, business and public service for the benefit of Scotland and the wider world. Fellows are elected following a rigorous and competitive peer nomination process.

Professor Imran said he was "honoured to join this prestigious group", whose impressive list of past and present luminaries includes Emeritus Professor Peter Higgs, Benjamin Franklin, Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell - and James Watt.
