On Monday 17 May Mark Banks was an invited contributor to a roundtable discussion on 'The Humanities and the Economy' as part of a UCL-wide initiative - the UCL Enquiry on the Case for the Humanities - led by Professor Maurice Biriotti. He joined a panel of experts to discuss the role played by the humanities in supporting economic activity and how to articulate a wider value in the humanities in the light of their current devaluing in public and political discourse.
