The Royal Society of Edinburgh held a conversation on this theme on 19 March. This was part of the RSE’s Post-Covid-19 Future’s Commission’s work on the uses of data, evidence and science during the pandemic. Following an agenda devised by CCPR’s Philip Schlesinger, the event brought together media figures and expert scientific  intermediaries to discuss the huge challenges of responsibly informing the public and holding government to account in the midst of a profound crisis. Reflections on this event will appear in the near future.
