This summer Lynn Whitaker was an invited contributor to three important consultations on the future of Public Service Broadcasting. In June she participated in an RSA event RSA’s on the future of PSB in Scotland (in association with Ofcom) and then contributed to the BBC’s own stakeholder event on plans for a new ‘BBC Scotland’ TV channel. Then in August she was a key contributor to Ofcom’s consultation on children’s PSB programming and out of London production. These consultations build on Lynn’s profile in PSB issues stretching back to her PhD research on the production of children’s public service broadcasting at BBC Scotland.
