On 9 November, the well-known film producer, Bob Last, spoke about his Scottish Government funded report on the creative economy. Never before given a public airing, this specially convened CCPR seminar discussed Creativity, value and money, which critically interrogates dominant approaches to creative industries policy and investigates, by way of detailed interviews, what those engaged in cultural work actually think about the relationship between creative activity and economic value. The report was researched under the auspices of Cultural Enterprise Office, which intends to publish it online soon. Professor Anton Muscatelli, Principal of the University of Glasgow opened the seminar, which brought together the worlds of politics, policy, cultural work and the academy from north and south of the border.
