Professor Gillian Doyle gave an invited lecture at the University of Warsaw. Drawing on her recent ESRC-funded project on Television Production in Transition: Independence, Scale and sustainability, she discussed the effects of mergers and acquisitions of UK independent TV production companies, the growing power of transnational media companies, how re-structurings in ownership reflect changing business models and implications for creative output and public policy.
