Colleagues from the School contributed to the first ever ‘Future Vets Camp’ last week, organised for 16 and 17 year-olds across the country thinking about veterinary medicine as a future career option.  The three-day event, which was held at the SRUC Oatridge campus in West Lothian, included both practical and lab sessions as well as talks from vet school admissions teams, and also provided the chance for attendees to interact with some current vet students and teaching staff.  The feedback from participants and parents has been overwhelming, showing that this experience will be a real benefit to students who might come and study at Glasgow, as well as an opportunity for admissions staff to see prospective students.  We look forward to continuing to work with the Future Vets Scotland team to attract and inspire future vets for Scotland.
