The Student Services Enquiry Team are the go-to team for student enquiries related to accessing Student Services at the University of Glasgow.

Our mission is:

“Enhancing the student experience, providing support and access to services throughout the student journey from registration to graduation and beyond.”

What do you do?

In addition to providing helpful advice, information, and guidance on a range of issues, the team can provide you with:

  • Replacement Campus Cards, which allow you access to University Services, such as the Library and UofG Sport (if you are a member!).
  • If you’ve lost your Campus Card, you can purchase a replacement on MyCampus for £10.00. You can use our how-to guide which shows the steps involved to purchase a card.
  • You can view your Transcript on your MyCampus account! We have a how-to guide on how you can do this.
  • If you need an official copy of your Transcript, you can request one from us on the UofG Helpdesk.
  • Certifying Letters, which verify your registration as a student at the University for a variety of purposes such as Council Tax Exemption, to open a Bank Account, or for Visa Applications.
  • If you need a letter to open a Bank Account, you can generate one on MyCampus! Don’t worry! We have a how-to guide for that!
  • If you need a letter to prove your registration as a student, you can also generate this on MyCampus. Guess what? Yes! We have a guide for that too!

So, can I contact you if I don’t know where or who to go to?

The team, known as ‘SSET’, have a wide range of connections across the University’s Student and Academic Services, so we’re well-versed in knowledge about the University and the issues affecting students.

This means that if you aren’t sure where to go to resolve your issue or enquiry, it’s likely that SSET will have the answer and can point you in the right direction!

Are you the team that helps with my Registration?

Within SSET, we have a dedicated Registration and Enrolment Support Team (REST) who operate throughout the registration and enrolment period (usually between August and October every year).

Our ‘Student Helpers’ – who are all students and recent graduates! – can assist you with a range of issues and can offer support to guide you through the registration and enrolment process.

You may have saw some of our recent Student Helpers during Freshers’ Week handing out Campus Cards, helping you with registration and enrolment, and guiding you throughout the Fraser Building.

We recruit our Student Helpers every year – so do keep an eye out for our recruitment drive in the Spring!

Do you operate the MyCampus system and the UofG Helpdesk?

No! We leave that to the University’s IT boffins!

But, we do have a bunch of helpful how-to guides on how to use MyCampus to update your student record – ranging from how to update your address through to how to submit a Good Cause Claim – and how to use the UofG Helpdesk to contact a range of services or to request things from services – including us!

How to contact us:

The best way to contact the team is through the UofG Helpdesk, or you can pop into the Student Services Enquiry Desk on Level 2 of the Fraser Building!

The team are available during the following days and times: Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00 and Friday, 10:00 – 17:00 (Note: we are closed on Public and University Holidays).

For the latest updates and information, we are also available on Instagram and Twitter and our website is packed with guidance and information for you!
