The University of Glasgow has ranked 11th in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2023, it was announced last week.

The University’s score remains steady, with last year’s rankings also placing the University in 11th place. Overall, the result cements the University’s position as the 2nd best ranked University in Scotland and the 8th best ranked Russell Group University.

At the subject level, the University is ranked first in the UK for Zoology, Sports Science and Dentistry. The University is ranked second in the UK for Film Production & Photography and General Nursing, while Anatomy & Physiology, History of Art, and Psychology are ranked third.

Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, said: “It is a tremendous achievement that once more the University of Glasgow ranks well within the top-20 Universities in the UK to study, and is ranked the second best University in Scotland. These results, combined with our recent success in the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, highlight that the University of Glasgow is one of the best places in the UK to study.”
