Dear Colleagues, 

CoreHR, our HR and payroll system, will go through its annual mandatory upgrade this month, re-launching on Wednesday 2 September. 

To facilitate the upgrade, the system will be unavailable from 5pm on Friday 28 August until Wednesday 2 September.  

The HR system will be unavailable during this weekend including portal and back office as well as our job listings; if you are a hiring manager, please be mindful of how this may affect advertising periods in relation to UKVI compliance. If you have any questions regarding the impact on your vacancy, please speak to your Resourcing Assistant. A note will be placed on the applicant website to advise them the site is currently unavailable and will be accessible from 2 September.  

Immediately following the upgrade functionality will remain the same, and the biggest change for staff will be the fresh new look and feel which has changed significantly, and is brighter, cleaner and easier to navigate.

Some small additional features, including a helpful new ‘calendar’ view which brings together your leave, training and pay information into a single view, and a ‘what if’ scenario in your pay dashboard to show the impact of changing your FTE, will also be made available. Following go live, further improvements will be assessed and rolled out to staff.

We’d also ask all staff to take this opportunity to ensure their diversity details and emergency contact information are fully up to date by Friday 28 August, before the upgrade commences. You can do this by logging in to CoreHR, clicking your name in the top right of the screen and selecting ‘My Profile’.
