Irish Leaving Certificate
Our typical requirement is Irish Leaving Certificate with minimum grades of H2, H2, H3, H3, H3, H3 (equivalent to ABB at A-Level) up to H1, H1, H1, H2, H2, H2 (equivalent to A*AA) with a minimum of H2 in any required subjects. See individual programme pages for details of any additional requirements (such as interview, portfolio, aptitude tests etc.)
Please note: Only Higher (honours) Level subjects will be considered.
A-levels and International Baccalaureate Diploma

European Baccalaureate
Equivalents for A-level requirements (these can be found on the undergraduate programme you intend to study):
- A*AA: Award of European Baccalaureate with 85% overall with at least 8.5 in three subjects including required subjects.
- AAA: Award of European Baccalaureate with 85% overall with at least 8.5 in three subjects including required subjects.
- AAB: Award of European Baccalaureate with 80% overall with at least 8 in three subjects including required subjects.
- ABB: Award of European Baccalaureate with 75% overall with at least 7.5 in three subjects including required subjects.
- BBB: Award of European Baccalaureate with 70% overall with at least 7 in three subjects including required subjects.

Postgraduate taught entry requirements
We will consider applications to Masters degrees from graduates holding a Bachelor's Degree with Honours. Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or above, which equates to Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) or higher may be considered for postgraduate study. Some degrees require a minimum of a 2:2

Fee status for Irish nationals
Irish nationals: Fee status and funding eligibility
Eligible for Home fee status
- If you are ordinarily resident in Scotland and meet the residency conditions of three years in the UK, EU, EEA or Switzerland. This applies whether or not you were living in the UK on 31 December 2020.
Eligible for Rest of UK fee status (including tuition fee loan from SAAS)
- If you are not ordinarily resident in Scotland, but you meet the three-year residency conditions of residing elsewhere within the Common Travel Area of the UK and RoI.
Settled status: Irish nationals are not required to apply for settled or presettled status.
