Access to our Collections
We offer in-person research and teaching appointments at The Hunterian Collections Study Centre at Kelvin Hall. We also offer appointments to view collections remotely, via remote visualiser and video-conferencing facilities.
- Please note that access to The Hunterian collections at Kelvin Hall is by appointment only.
- All enquiries should be sent by email at least 20 working days in advance with details of what you require and for what purpose.
- There is a limit to the number of objects/specimens available to researchers on each visit.
- All researchers will be supervised at all times.

Christmas and New Year Opening Hours
The Hunterian Museum, Hunterian Art Gallery and Mackintosh House will close at 5.00pm on Sunday 22 December 2024. The Hunterian Zoology Museum will close at 5.00pm on Friday 20 December 2024.
