Short Description

This course is to make an extensive study through project work of carefully selected manuscripts and assess their value in the establishment of the text of a particular Latin author.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to make an extensive study through project work of carefully selected manuscripts and assess their value in the establishment of the text of a particular Latin author

Intended Learning Outcomes of Course

By the end of this course students will be able to:
- Experience
 expertise in the collation of manuscripts

- Understand the various relevant features of the manuscripts being studied

- Apply their acquired knowledge and techniques in a careful and extensive study of the ways in which  particular manuscripts are used in the establishment of a classical text, in a project which meets the  standards specified in the general ILOs of the M. Phil. programme
