The British Heart Foundation’s Associate Medical Director, Professor Jeremy Pearson, spoke to former BHF Chairholder and former University of Glasgow Professor, David Wheatley, as part of their ‘In Conversation With...’ series. 

Professor Wheatley was the BHF Chair of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Glasgow from 1979 - 2006.

Professor Wheatley, reflects on his extraordinary cross-continental research journey, learning from and working alongside early heart surgery pioneers, introducing heart transplantation to Scotland, and patenting his namesake heart valve in June this year.
